In real life, I am Sharon Workman. On my MSN groups, I usually go by LincolnsSparrow. In other places, where I must choose a username, I am Checochinican, partly because with that name I never get "Already taken. Choose another..."
Checochinican was my 5th great grandfather, a chief of the Lenni Lenape (aka Delaware) tribe, important enough to have made the history books, as were his son and grandson, also my ancestors. I got lucky in that regard.
I've gone about as far as I can go with my own ancestry, but because I have a very serious addiction here, I while away the hours and feed my habit by researching for others. I don't travel, except on the internet, so I am limited to what I can find there (much!) and in books that I have bought over the past several years.
I live in Syracuse, Onondaga County, New York, where I was born and grew up. I have also lived in Connecticut, Maryland, and other places in New York State.
